To ensure long-term stability and prevent recurring homelessness, Elevate Forward requires all individuals seeking access to homeless housing assistance to actively participate in our comprehensive support programs. This requirement is designed to equip individuals with the skills, resources, and support necessary for sustainable independence beyond temporary housing.

Program Participation Requirement

To qualify for homeless housing assistance under Elevate Forward, individuals must enroll and actively engage in at least one core program track tailored to their needs:

1. Financial Literacy & Economic Stability

✅ Required for individuals with financial barriers, debt, or no savings
✅ Participation in budgeting, credit-building, and debt reduction workshops
✅ Completion of one-on-one financial coaching sessions

2. Workforce Development & Career Training

✅ Required for individuals unemployed or underemployed
✅ Enrollment in career coaching, job placement services, or apprenticeships
✅ Participation in resume-building, interview training, and employment readiness workshops

3. Mental Health & Trauma Recovery

✅ Required for individuals with a history of trauma, mental health struggles, or substance recovery
✅ Participation in trauma-informed therapy and wellness programs
✅ Access to peer mentorship and crisis intervention support

4. Social Reintegration & Community Engagement

✅ Required for individuals with long-term housing instability or social isolation
✅ Enrollment in peer mentorship, leadership training, or volunteer opportunities
✅ Completion of civic engagement or community service hours

5. Identification Recovery & Employment Access

✅ Required for individuals without valid ID or legal documentation
✅ Assistance in obtaining state ID, birth certificates, and Social Security cards
